Shared or Partial Custody

Child Custody & Visitation disputes are some of the most emotionally-charged legal disputes.  Emotions can run higher when the primary parent behaves like the only parent.  Until a court order is arranged, that parent may have prevented you from having a relationship with your child or made it near impossible by adding ridiculous requirements like visiting the child at their home.  However, the primary parent cannot legally stop you from accessing your child or otherwise restrict you unless continued access is detrimental to your child and the restrictions are needed.

If the other parent is making disparaging remarks about you in front of the child, inappropriately sharing feelings about your breakup with the child, undermining your authority, and failing to honor a court order or permit you to see your child, you may be facing parental alienation.

The primary parent can rarely honestly meet the above standard.   However, without proper representation, you may fail to show that he or she has failed, and your ability to visit and parent your children - can be negatively impacted.

Our law practice is extensive and includes:
• Divorce cases, including property division, alimony, legal separation, and same-sex divorce
• Child custody cases, including visitation, relocation/removal, high-conflict cases, and child support
• Modification of existing orders, including alimony, custody, and child support

We provide personalized representation to each client.  We will help you to develop a narrative regarding how your child has been raised, cared for, and shared until the time of trial.   We will show how that narrative relates to Pennsylvania's 16 custody factors.  We will help you determine the correct evidence admissible in court and illustrate your narrative in light of the 16 custody factors.

If the other parent is making disparaging remarks about you in front of the child, inappropriately sharing feelings about your breakup with the child, undermining your authority, and failing to honor a court order or permit you to see your child, you may be facing parental alienation.  We can help you to address this issue as well.
